Julie Debernardi

Practice Manager

Julie brings 10 years of experience in the veterinary field and a genuine passion for creating a welcoming, well-run practice where both pets and people feel cared for. As a Practice Manager, Julie works closely with veterinarians, staff, and clients to ensure daily operations run smoothly while maintaining a supportive and compassionate clinic environment.

Julie enjoys mentoring team members, strengthening communication, and helping the practice grow while staying true to its core values of quality care and kindness.

Outside of work, Julie lives on a small farm, where her love for animals continues. She enjoys spending time with her family, embracing farm life, and indulging in all things, Lord of the Rings. Whether at the clinic or at home, Julie brings dedication and warmth to everything she does.

CVT
Julie, CVT, is a Fear Free Certified technician with over a decade of experience spanning surgical assistance, administrative leadership, and specialized radiation oncology. Known for her technical precision and commitment to low-stress care, she excels at navigating complex medical journeys and providing empathetic communication to pet owners during difficult decisions. Julie is a steady advocate for both her patients and the efficiency of her veterinary team, ensuring high-quality outcomes through thoughtfulness and reliability. Outside of the clinic, she stays active and enjoys life with her two children and a diverse "home zoo" that includes two dogs, a cat, a fish, and a frog.

Maddi

Veterinary Assistant
Maddi (she/her) is a Veterinary Assistant with nearly two years of experience in veterinary medicine. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior and is Fear Free Certified, reflecting her dedication to compassionate, low-stress care for every patient. Maddi values creating a positive experience for both animals and their owners. She has previously worked in shelter medicine and wildlife rehabilitation, where she gained hands-on experience with a wide variety of species and developed a strong foundation in animal welfare. Outside of work, Maddi enjoys reading, spending quality time with family, and traveling around the world. She appreciates time to relax and recharge while continuing to grow in the veterinary field.

Jorie

Veterinary Assistant
Jorie (She/Her) is a veterinary assistant who has five years of experience in veterinary medicine. She is currently attending school at Penn Foster University to obtain her CVT license. She is Fear- Free certified and certified in the Cat Friendly Practices program by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (Feline VMA). She previously worked at an all-cat clinic but has a love for all species of pets and has discovered a newfound love of birds. Jorie loves to travel internationally; she has visited over 18 different countries. One of her favorite trips was to Zimbabwe, Africa to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center called “Chipangali”. She is certified to teach yoga and enjoys rollerblading, hiking, and exploring new places. She also enjoys attending concerts and seeing musicals. In her down time, she enjoys knitting and binge watching a good tv show while cuddling with her 2 cats.

Julia

Veterinary Assistant
Julia has been a dedicated veterinary professional since graduating high school in 2000. Starting as a kennel attendant, she was trained to do various jobs around the animal hospital and decided to become a vet tech. She went to veterinary techincal school in Tacoma, Washington while working as a veterinary receptionist. After returning to the Chicago area, she worked as a devoted ER and critical care tech for 7 years, where she focused on patient advocacy in pain management, treatment and recovery. From there, Julia paused her career to stay home with her two young boys and took on roles such as vice president and treasurer for the PTA at their school. Upon returning to the veterinary field, she was trained to work with exotics and that is where her professional passion currently lies. Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time with her family, reading motivational books and trying new things like quilting.

Sela

Veterinary Assistant
Sela (She/Her) is a dedicated veterinary assistant with over a year of experience in pet care and a strong commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality support for both patients and their owners. She is currently studying at Penn Foster College to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and is Fear Free Certified. She ensures that every animal she works with experiences a calm, safe, and low-stress environment. She has a strong interest in exotic medicine and enjoys expanding her knowledge across a wide range of species. Outside of the clinic, she values spending time with family, friends, and with her dogs, Max and Rex. She also enjoys exploring local trails during the warmer seasons.

Robin

CSR
Robin joined Green Family Vet in September of 2025. She has 3 years of experience working as a friendly and dedicated customer service representative. She enjoys helping clients and making each visit pleasant for our patients. Robin is excited to be a part of a supportive, family-like team where teamwork and compassion come first. She enjoys seeing the adorable pets each day while building positive relationships with clients and staff. Robin has always had a love for dogs and has grown to love our cat and exotic patients since starting at our clinic.

Patty

CSR
Patty brings 21 years of experience in the veterinary field. She brings a deep passion for client care and genuine love for animals to the CSR team. She is excited to be working with Dr. Green again and looks forward to building strong relationships with both clients and patients. Outside of work, Patty enjoys practicing yoga, spending time with her grandchildren and relaxing with her 11-year-old Chi-Chi mix, Nugget.
